my stomach was upset this morning so i stayed at garrett's instead of going to tampa with him. hannah said she'd still watch ryah so i could do homework. she took him to the park and i did all of the work for my health information management class that is due this week. i took the test and got a 95 and had a second chance to take it so then i redid it and got a 100 :) i ate lunch and then told hannah i'd take ryan from her but she said if i have to work to do she'll still watch him. so now i'm going to do more coding homework. what fun.

two days ago my mom took ryan to...our backyard and he played in the little pool she bought him. he loveddddd it! he had so much more fun than the last time he went in it. i have some pretty adorable pictures from it. i also have pictures from yesterday. my sister, ryan, and i went to danielle's for a pool party. there were a bunch of people my sister work(s)/(ed) with there and we all went swimming and ate food that danielle grilled. i also let her dad play with ryan a lot because i thought it might cheer him up temporarily. i think it worked :)

i decided in order to efficiently get my school work done, i am going to assign one class to a day of the week lol. monday i'll do my intro to health information management work, tuesday i'll do my principles of disease work, wednesday i'll do my basic icd coding work, and thursday AND friday i have to do my healthcare delivery systems work. that class is only 8 weeks so i have like 2 weeks worth of work every week, so i decided i can stretch it out over two days lol. so that way i know my work will be done, i won't be scrambling sunday night to get everything done before midnight, and i can have my weekends with nothing to do :)
so far it's worked out. i felt very stressed when i learned how much my work load was going to be on monday when i signed into all of my classes, but by yesterday i felt fine because i now know it's possible to complete a week's worth of work in one class each day. go me.

Ryan also: blows kisses, and says bye when he's leaving somewhere, says and can identify keys, tries to put keys in doors, knocks on doors, says and can identify Pooh, can open deodorant lol, tries to put people's shoes on their feet for them, tries to mimic the sounds of basically anything he hears, points out tattoos (on people he sees daily), aaaaaand there's more that I am forgetting again but my brain is tired lol.

I think I need to update about Ryan lol. It's been forever. He will be 14 months on the 30th. He walks everywhere all the time. I love it when he crawls because he does it so sparingly now.
His words include: mama, dada, ba (for ball), buddy, bubba, cup, boo, beh (for bed), wa (for walk), wa (for water), bir (for bird), go, bwah (for block), cat, woo/woof (for woof), duck, kak (for quack), bye, boob, and a million other things that he'll try to repeat when he hears them. He can sign: bubble, bye/hi, (sort of) book, hat, water, more, eat, milk, car, ball, swing, and that's all I can think if right now.
He loves when you read to him and he loves turning the pages himself, and just in the past few days he's started to try and read books to himself. (He isn't really making sounds, just turning and looking at the pages by himself).
He looooves the show Yo Gabba Gabba and it's the only thing that can calm him down sometimes. I really didn't want him to be watching tv but Hannah found that show and let him watch it once and he has been hooked since. It's really cute and we all love it and sing the songs all day every day now lol.
Ryan seriously gets into EVERYTHING. We try to keep things out of his reach and put things in different places so he can't get them, but a) he is growing like a weed and can now reach things that he couldn't a few weeks ago, and b) there are only so many things we can rearrange. He always goes for tvs/vcrs/dvd players, remotes, curtains, blinds, picture frames, etc lol which are mostly things that can't be moved. It's pretty frustrating and I feel bad for constantly telling him no and trying to redirect his attention, but it's really hard sometimes.
He throws tantrums daily and they are ridiculous lol. Everyone feels bad and ends up giving him what he wants a lot of the time and it makes me mad, but surprisingly I've been able to hold out way better than I thought I would. He is such a little kid now, my baby is long gone :( I only see bits and pieces of baby Ryan when he's realllllly tired and snuggly and asking for milk. He has his own little personality and it's adorable.

Hannah and I just walked to the park in Garrett's neighborhood with Ryan. We went down the slide a million times with him. It is sooooo hot out. I put socks on him, but I don't have any shoes, a hat, his sunglasses, or sunscreen for him here. We were only there less than 10 minutes lol. The walk there and back was longer than we stayed, but it was hot hot hot and it was worth it just to get out of the house and do something.
Garrett's night class was over last week so I stayed here at his house this morning instead of going home. He just called me and is on his way home already. Tonight when it starts to cool down Ryan and I will go on another walk with my sister :]
